This was the first event at Wonderground. An outdoor event for folks to enjoy the space, an invitation to not only to witness the transformation, but be part of it.

All in all it was a magical evening with live performances, incense, food, and fellowship.

Snack and Chat 4/20/19

Chat from Chez Fab in connection with Unity Baton Rouge brought you another Snack and Chat on this Easter weekend. Live music from GBA Young Lavage and special surprise guest Rocky Mountainz. This event series has been an effort to Uplift and Unite the various communities of Baton Rouge. So far it seems to be working. The music, the clothes and the food are the tools we use to bring people together to share experiences and bridge the divide between black, white, poor, rich, gay or straight. We want everyone who comes to know that they are valued, and that they matter. Together we build a safer, funner, and more loving Baton Rouge.

Snack and Chat adds LIVE performance to the mix!

Snack and Chat is our monthly event hosted in connection with UNITY Baton Rouge. The aim is to uplift the neighborhood surrounding Chez Fab , while sending out an invitation to the community to take part in this transformation as we rebuild the Structure at N. 19th and Spanish Town Rd . We supply free food, free clothes, and now free live performances, all that we ask is that YOU give us your ideas, and visions for the future. Building relationships has never been so fun.
This Snack and Chat had surprise performances from James Blair and Eliz Sandifer as well as planned performances from JOER$$H, and D LOVE KING. Can't wait to do more!

Pizza with a Purpose at Reginellis

A big thank you to everyone who came out to the Chez Fab "Pizza with a Purpose" fundraiser at Reginelli's on Jefferson on March 7th. Every dollar gets us one step closer to getting the building at 800 N. 19th ready for action!

Snack and Chat expands to include sharing clothes!

Snack and Chat, the monthly joint event with Unity Baton Rouge has been encouraging community members to join us to share food for thought. Thoughts about the Chez Fab's vision for 800 N. 19th St, as well as visions of their own. We are working to establish ourselves as good neighbors, and let the community know we care, this is a space that they are invited to be part of shaping. 

This months introduction to providing clothes and groceries was a hit! We are also looking to include music in upcoming "Snack and Chat"s to give it a more festive vibe.
