Dec 20th 2020 Chez Fab delighted to team up again with MOR Baton Rouge
(Meals Outreach Resources).
This time we gave out meals, blankets, clothes and hygiene kits to those in need.

A pleasure to serve as Chez Fab teams up with Baton Rouges new organization M.O.R. to offer Meals, Outreach, and recourses. Today we gave out hot and healthy meals, masks, gloves, socks, hygiene products and more . With support from the girl scouts and various community members, the event was a success.

Success at the "Raise the Roof" plant sale and concert fundraiser!

 

A big THANK YOU to every on who came out and made the Raise the Roof plant sale and fundraiser  a success! Live performances from Kinky Vanilla, A Band Name Hyckoriii, Jireh, Piriah 85, Spiritual Lily, The Fellas, and Kiamara. 

The plant sale raised enough money to begin the install of the community garden. 
The tentative install date is Dec 1

As far as the roof, we raised $2000 of $20,000. We will continue our fundraising efforts through events,
T shirt sales, donations, and more....

RAISE THE ROOF! Nov 7th 2020 Chez Fab raises awareness and money for our Wonderground building and community garden 10am - 11pm

Though we have come leaps and bounds, we are still in need of some major improvements. 
Our biggest goal at the moment is the roof at  Wonderground! 
We are currently fundraising for major repairs. 
And while the inside of our building may not be ready for engagement, 

we never let what we Can't Do get in the way of what we CAN!  

We are currently working with Swampfly laying down the groundwork for our community garden.

Learn about our mission. See first hand how we are building this ecofriendly/sustainable/ art/performance/music space and community garden. 

10 AM - 5 PM - Plant Sale, Raffle, Local Vendors, DJ's, Kids Crafts
6 PM - 11 PM  - Live music from A band name Hyckoriii, Jireh, Piriah85, The Fellas and more!
 

Chez Fab is very honored to have hosted Kimara Hungerback and Ricardo Bachmann of Bang Of Urban Districs (BoUD) (Germany) and been the conduit for their sociocultural research and visualizing of Baton Rouge, la. While they were here we got to introduce them to a handful of organizers in Baton Rouge working towards social progress. View the video snippet of their work here.
